Nord en Lend

Author

Nord en Lend writes from the places between what is seen and what is left unspoken.

Founder of INKvale Studio and a self-described Modern Realist of Gothic Romanticism, he writes character-driven fantasy and speculative fiction shaped by history, mythology, theology, philosophy, anime, noir, and the darker contradictions of human nature.

The name is not a mask so much as a perspective.

Nord does not write from the shadows because he wishes to hide within them. He writes there because shadows are where forgotten things remain: memory, beauty, guilt, desire, faith, ruin, and the pieces of ourselves people would rather leave unseen.

His stories are built from the character outward. A world is not merely described; it is experienced through those who inhabit it—the bitterness of tea, the sting of a cold night, the warmth of a half-remembered touch, the silence before something sacred or terrible reveals itself.

To Nord, writing is an act of excavation. He does not ask the reader simply to watch his characters from afar.

He asks them to walk beside them.

Perhaps that is why the author himself remains somewhere beyond the edge of the page.

 Not hidden.

Simply watching where the light does not reach.

Children's Author

Brett Fleming

Brett Fleming writes stories from the brighter side of imagination, though never so far into the light that the shadows disappear.

His stories are shaped by wonder, family, curiosity, and the small moments children often understand better than adults: the importance of a promise, the comfort of home, the ache of being left behind, and the strange places imagination can carry us when the ordinary world is no longer enough.

He believes children's stories need not pretend that sadness, fear, or uncertainty do not exist. Sometimes darkness is necessary—not to overwhelm the light, but to remind us why the light matters.

His writing follows that boundary, where melancholy can still become wonder, where a frightening path may lead somewhere beautiful, and where growing up does not have to mean leaving imagination behind.

Through stories such as The Bunny, the Book, and the Bird, Brett invites readers into worlds that may become strange beyond the familiar road, but never entirely lose sight of the way home.

He writes where darkness kisses light—

just close enough to remind us how precious the light really is.

Ravn Nocturne

Author

Ravn Nocturne writes without shame.

His Gothic Romanticism inhabits the places where desire and violence, tenderness and cruelty, love and hatred cease pretending they are strangers to one another.

He does not believe darkness corrupts humanity simply by being seen. Nor does he believe desire becomes obscene merely because it is spoken aloud. His fiction embraces the erotic, the brutal, the beautiful, and the profane as pieces of the same imperfect creature.

Man.

Ravn writes of bodies without apology, violence without sanitization, desire without embarrassment, and love without promising that love will remain gentle. His characters may surrender to one another, destroy one another, worship one another, or discover that the distance between those acts is sometimes frighteningly small.

There are no curtains drawn for modesty.

No shadows softened for comfort.

Yet darkness is never the destination.

Ravn Nocturne writes where shadow reaches for the light—and discovers that sometimes the light reaches back.

Because to seduce the light, one must first understand why man was drawn to the darkness.
